Goodwood Revival this year was not the best with regards to weather, however British spirit prevailed and the atmosphere was as always, electric, with the English spirit not to be dampened by the mud and rain.
Over the three days, we met some wonderful new customers and saw many from last year, often with their Taylor Kent 2016 purchase in hand. With wonderful vintage outfits from glamorous ‘40s, the fabulous ‘50s to the swinging ‘60s, we could not resist a few photographs!
One of our last customers of the show was the lovely Emma Carroll, for whom we crafted some stylish plastic bag boots with black tape to match her dress and enable her to traverse an incredibly muddy field to her car.
During this task we learnt that Emma is flying to Brazil at the end of the month where she is cycling over 350km in 5 days through Salvador in Brazil to raise money for the Women V Cancer. All money raised will go directly to the following three charities so please support this remarkable lady and such an incredibly worthwhile cause.
Breast Cancer Care - Provides expert information, skilled and emotional practical support for over 55k women and men.
Jo's Cervical Cancer Trust - The only UK charity dedicated to women affected by cervical cancer & abnormalities. Nearly 3 women die every day with a further 8 being diagnosed daily.
Ovarian Cancer Action - The biggest gynaecological killer of women in the UK. 12 women die every day, the UK having the lowest survival rates of the developed world.
